Kia Motors would appear to be a hot newcomer to the automotive scene. Owned in part by Hyundai, Kia was actually founded in 1944 Korea as a manufacturer of steel tubing and, of all things, bicycles. Bicycles turned into motor scooters in the 1950s. Motor scooters turned into motorcycles and trucks into the 1960s. As the 1970s approached, the expansion into the automobile market would take place. Kia’s engineering and technological efforts would be found in makes such as Peugeot and Ford, as the Festiva and Aspire, in the 1980s. As the 1990s rolled around, Kia was manufacturing and marketing automobiles and SUVs under their own name. Kia cars, SUVs, and minivans have been steadily gaining in popularity and Automotive Concepts enjoys a great deal of success selling great Kia parts and Kia accessories for their lineup as a result.
