High quality foam and fabric arm rest designed primarily to be used by drivers of SUV's, Vans and Trucks. Road-Rest arm rests are fit easily onto the doors of most trucks, vans, and SUV's. Simply insert the "lip" of the Road-Rest into the space between the window and the door frame.
- Helps relieve the stress and strain caused by resting the elbow and arm on the surface of the hard door panel while driving
- Can be used in virtually any vehicle that has a space between the window glass and door panel Using the supplied self-adhesive foam block, the Road-Rest can be adjusted to provide a flat and comfortable arm cushion on almost any thickness of door panel.
- Can be used with the window up or down
Most people have no problems installing the Road-Rest; you'll see how easy it is when yours arrives. However, since it is impossible to manufacture an after-market accessory that will fit all of the different thicknesses of door panels, we offer the following suggestions for using the Road-Rest:
For narrow door panels (most Chevrolet and GMC vehicles): The enclosed piece of self-adhesive foam block can be used to change the angle of the Road-Rest when it is used with a narrow door frame. Simply remove the protective backing of the adhesive strip and attach the foam block to the inside of the bottom of the Road-Rest. This will help the Road-Rest to "stand-off" from the door panel and provide a resting surface that is as flat as possible.
For medium door panels (most Dodge and Chrysler vehicles): The Road-Rest fits medium-thickness door panels without using the included foam block.
For wider door panels (most Ford vehicles): The Road-Rest will fit these door panels but may fall off the door panel when it's shut hard. Applying a piece of Velcro-type material to the door panel and the Road-Rest will solve this.
Still not sure it will fit?: Please look at your door panel. If there is not a space for the lip to sit between the glass and the door panel, the Road-Rest will not work in a "normal" way. However, many customers have reported they have used the Velcro-type material (will not normally cause damage to the door panel), super glue (will cause permanent damage to the door panel!), and even screws (will definitely cause damage to the door panel!) in order to get the Road-Rest to fit their vehicle.
Guarantee: The Road-Rest is guaranteed against defects in workmanship for 90 days from the date of purchase. Any Road-Rest that is deemed to be defective during these 90 days will be replaced at no charge.
Caution: The arm or elbow should be kept on the Road-Rest when used with the window rolled down to keep the Road-Rest from flying out of the window! |
